New York City’s famed Times Square is the reason it’s called “the city that never sleeps.” This major commercial intersection and neighborhood is located in Midtown Manhattan at the junction of Broadway and 7th Avenue, less than a mile from our hotel. It stretches from West 42nd to West 47th Streets and all its buildings are brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements. Often referred to as “The Crossroads of the World,” the square is one of the most visited places in the world.

Though the most famous event in Times Square is certainly New Year’s Eve. Every year as the clock nears midnight on December 31, the world turns to see the dazzling lights and bustling energy of Times Square. Millions of people count down as the famous New Year’s Eve Ball descends from the flagpole atop 1 Times Square, followed by waves of confetti. The star-studded event is filled with musical performances, a colorful pyrotechnic display, and unforgettable fun.
